So you’re looking to buy a propane water heater? Well there are many ups and downs to buying and using a propane water heater. They are the same when it comes to heating your water but have different costs when it comes to running them. Depending on where you live you can end up saving money using propane over electric.

Propane water heaters can be more efficient than electric heating. Electric water heaters actually cost people about ¼ to 1/5 of their yearly electricity costs. You can find water heaters in two different types. You will see the tankless water heater which costs more, and the traditional water heater that has a 50gal tank. If you can afford it you should go with the tankless since you never run out of hot water as you do with the models that use tanks.

There are some things you need to consider before investing into a tankless propane water heater. You must make sure that your home can handle the demand for it. You will most likely need to have a large in ground tank installed on your property unless you have it fed to your house by lines. Most houses though will require a tank usually installed in the back yard that you can have filled monthly as needed. They are perfectly safe and only are exposed on the top were the propane company can refill it.

Propane water heaters that have the storage tank actually heat water faster than the electric designs. This is due to the fact that you actually have a flame and the heat is direct. So your time for replenishing your hot water does not take near as long. For constant hot water you should go with the tankless hot water heater.

If your building a new home it’s much easier to install than if you have an existing home but even then you can switch to a propane water heater with no that much of a hassle. The only thing is that for most people you will have to install a tank in your yard. Which most are built to be underground so that they don’t become an eye sore. All in all propane water heaters are the way to go if you have the option. With electricity costs going through the roof now you will save your money over time and enjoy more hot water. Just make sure you do your homework and get what is best fitted for your needs.

Hot water heaters are used around the world today and has become a item of necessity. The earth would not function properly if it did not have hot water available for use today. The most common type of hot water heater is one you find in your home that is a cylinder shape and is either ran by electric or gas.

There are several things you should consider when you’re out shopping for water heater. First thing you need to consider is you family size and the amount of hot water you will be using. Since they come in all sizes you need to make sure that you select a unit that meets your demands. If not you may find yourself in a cold shower because all the hot water was used up. Other things you need to know before heading out looking for a new water heater is the size of space you have to put the unit. You will find that even thought the tank size is the same it doesn’t mean that the unit overall is the same size. You could end up getting home to find out that it doesn’t fit in the space your old unit went into. A third thing you should look at is how energy efficient is the unit? You want to make sure its cost worthy to purchase and that you’re not burning up your utility bills with high uses of electricity and gas.

There are other means of heating your water such as tankless water heaters, solar water heater, and a few other kinds but the most common is the standard hot water heater with a tank. The other options could be a good choice if you do not have the room for a standard one or are trying to look at a more green technology. All in all you just want to make sure you do your home work and pick the best option that fits your needs.

So who could possibly want to know anything about a heater? Well in fact considering how many people depend on heaters(Everybody) in some fashion or form there is a need to have knowledge about them. So why am I writing about them here? I don’t know, I guess I am just bored or something.

There are many types of different heaters that we use today. We have portable heaters, space heaters, baseboard heaters, water heaters, and many more. Below you will find a small description of several of the main forms of a heater and their main uses. And in the future we will be going over different air conditioning units as well. So go grab a coffee and sit back and enjoy.

The most searched for heaters online are the portable heater and water heater. I am first going to talk about water heaters. Everyone for the most part should be familiar with what a water heater is and does. It’s a cylinder type device that has a tank and heating coil. Depending on what style of hot water heater you have you will either have an electric water heater or a gas water heater. Depending on where you live will depend on which type of water heater you will want to have. For some, electricity is the cheaper route, and for some it’s cheaper to go with a gas heater. Either way it all depends on what you have available. The main thing when choosing a water heater for your home is to make sure that it has the right size tank for the use of the home. You will find many track homes that are fitted with water heaters that are not adequate to what they need. So you will find that if to people take a hot shower that they will end up running out of hot water fast. So make sure when picking out your water heater that you get one that has enough hot water stored for your needs.

There is another way around having a water heater with a tank. They are called tankless hot water heaters. A tankless hot water heater is basically a coil that heats the water as it passes through. These can be great due to the fact that you don’t ever have to worry about running out of hot water since it heats the water as it passes through. The makers of tankless water heaters also state that they are more efficient and cost less to run each year. Were as an electric water heater with a tank costs around 300 to 400 a year to run. So if you are looking for another option you could easily go with the tankless heater.

The next most searched form of a heater is the space heater. A space heater is a heater that is used just for one section of a home. They come in all sizes and shapes and can be very useful in helping you save money in the long run if you are running central air. The reason for this is that you can locate your heater in the room your in more often and can keep the rest of the house cooler. Or even if you don’t have central heat then you can use these to heat the entire house by having them in each room. Space heaters come in different forms running off of electric, gas, propane, to kerosene.
Again when choosing a heater of this type you need to make sure its rated to heat the amount of square footage that you require and that its efficient. You can find ones that will heat a warehouse or ones small enough to heat a bathroom. Another thing to consider is how safe it is and will it be safe for pets and children. Many house fires are started by space heaters each year so make sure you pick a safe and highly reviewed one.

Portable heaters are another commonly searched for heater online. They are pretty much the same as a space heater in the fact they are smaller and can come in all sizes. When you think of a portable heater you most likely think of a small unit that you can plug in to an outlet. Or your thinking of a small heater you can use for camping. You can find a portable heater a most hardware stores and they will usually carry several different sizes and types. Again with these you want to make sure that they are safe for the pets and kids etc.

Something that you are seeing more and more of today are patio heaters. You can find them almost everywhere now from restaurants to someone’s back patio. A patio heater comes in all shapes and sizes and can produce a good amount of heat. The most common kind you will see is about 6 to 7 foot high with an upside down bowl shaped top which radiates the heat downward to where you’re sitting. Most patio heaters run of some form of gas or kerosene.

This is just a few heaters that are available. There are kerosene heaters, oil heaters, pool heaters, propane heaters, garage heaters, and more than we can count. To find more specific information on a type of heater search around you my find something here that may help you in choosing the right heater for you.
